The internet(s) gives and gives and gives.
There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.
Last week, Suvudu featured the First 50 Pages of The Passage by Justin Cronin. Fictional Frontiers posted 15 Minutes of Fiction with Jason Hough. Matt Staggs posted news that author Joe Hill will be taking up a classic horror anthology, as well as a post about Nelly Bly, sci-fi inspired feminist pioneer! Eric Geller featured the newest Star Wars HoloNet Digest. And I interviewed Raymond E. Feist in support of his new companion bookhttp://sf-fantasy.suvudu.com/2013/11/new-release-interview-midkemia-by-raymond-e-feist.html, Midkemia: The Chronicles of Pug!
In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com the power of humanity and BatKid, Pyr Books posted news about Ari Marmell, and Orbit Books posted the Goodreads Readers Choice Awards: SemiFinal Rounds!
